COVID-19 FAQ’s

What measures are you taking to keep customers safe?

We take the safety of our customers and staff very seriously. We have undertaken a COVID-19 risk assessment and have put measures in place to mitigate risk. Our design bench and till point have been moved so that framing clients and gallery customers are separated. We have installed a protective screen around the framing design bench to keep framer and customer apart whilst still allowing full viewing of the design process. The design bench is now a fully wipeable surface and is included in the increased cleaning regime of sanitising high frequency touch points between each customer. The till point is also fitted with a protective screen. Hand sanitiser is available for customers to use when they enter. We have increased handwashing practices in place and staff will sanitise their hands before handling customers purchases. Now that face coverings are mandatory in shops, our staff will be observing this, and we expect our customers to do the same – disposable masks are available for anyone who arrives without one. When customers require assistance within the gallery space, for example if a large item or picture is being purchased, our staff will assist and ensure social distancing is observed.

How many people are you allowing into your shop at any one time?

As we are now fully open and have quite a bit of space throughout the building, we can be quite flexible about the number visitors. Up to 4 small groups can easily be spread out throughout the gallery. We ask that all visitors observe social distancing of 2 metres from others, make use of the hand sanitiser providedand limit the number of items that they touch.

I would like to make a framing appointment, how do I do that?

You can make an appointment directly with our online bookings calendar here – make an appointment , via our facebook page, by calling us on 01328 820900 or by emailing us. Framing consultations are 30 mins but if you have multiple items (more than 2 or 3) you can book two slots (this has to be done separately online, or call us and we can add extra slots for you). Collections are 15 mins.

You have told me that my framing is ready, do I need an appointment to collect it?

Yes, please make an appointment here, via our facebook page, by calling us on 01328 820900 or by emailing us. Collection appointments are 15 minutes. This allows us to help you directly and you won’t have to wait if someone else is having a consultation.

Can you do design appointments remotely?

We can offer guidance and rough estimates via WhatsApp, email or telephone. But to carry out a full design consultation, we would need to have the artwork in our workshop. Then, we can ‘mock-up’ suggestions and send images by email etc. We are currently looking into frame visualisation software with a view to offering a full remote service in the future.

I cannot travel from home, can you collect and deliver?

Yes, this can be arranged for those who are self-isolating or shielding. Please call us on 01328 820900 to schedule.

I can drive over to collect my framing but would prefer to stay in the car – is this possible?

Yes, we can bring your items directly to your car. When you book your collection appointment just pop ‘car park collection’ in the notes. Payment in advance will have to be made for this service. You can pay with a card over the phone or by BACS transfer, just ask for your invoice to be emailed to you.
