For Steven it is not about realism, but more importantly a sense of feeling, whether it is capturing the changing moods of the Saltmarsh, or some of Norfolks beautiful beaches. It is important to Steven that when you look at one of his paintings you will always see something new. Mark making, mixed media and collage are all used to try and achieve this.
